As Braun reaches his mid-30s, his leadership remains a key to Brewers success, and his bat remains dangerous. Only Barry Bonds (16), Alex Rodriguez (13) and Andre Dawson (13) own more than his 11 seasons of more than 15 home runs and upwards of 10 steals.

Hit .313 first season up (1946) and has been National league batting power ever since. Batted .290 in 1948 made up of 171 hits good for 309 total bases, 40 doubles, 4 triples and 30 home runs. Drove in 95 runs-batted-in. In addition he scored 86 runs. Finished 7th in National league slugging.

Dee is a mighty good pitcher. His record for the 1954 season was the best of any Oriole pitcher. He appeared in 25 games, winning 10 and losing 14. His earned run average, a good measure of a pitcher's effectiveness, was a low 3-12, ranking him 12th in the League. He began in baseball in 1946 with the Yankees' Newark farm, and first came to the majors with the Yankees in 1949, after starting the season with Newark. He was traded to the Browns in 1950.
