The 1916 Sporting News M101-4 set features stars such as Eddie Collins (#24), Charles Comiskey (#36), Ty Cobb (#38), Sam Crawford (#41), Joe Jackson (#87), Hugh Jennings (#90), Walter Johnson (#91), Babe Ruth (#151), Joe Tinker (#174) and Honus Wagner (#182).

Steve Sundra, once the property of Cleveland, has been a big help to the New York Yankees. He joined them permanently in 1938, after two seasons with Newark, and has captured 17 while losing only 5 in the last two years. He won 11 and lost only 1 last year and had an earned run average of only 2.75. Sundra appeared in 24 games for the World champions last year, allowing only 110 hits and forty-three runs in 121 innings.

This is Ken's 15th year in pro ball. He started in the minors in 1938 and after a 15-11 record at Norfolk in '41 and 17-10 at Newark in '44, he came up with the Yankees in 1945 to win 3 and lose 3. Sent down in 1946, Ken got a trial in 1948 with the Reds, but didn't stick. In 1949 at Sacramento, he won 19 games, struck out 108 and had a 2.85 Earned Run Average. The White Sox brought him up in 1950 and he's made the grade.
