As one of baseball's more flexible pitchers, Jeff brings his front leg straight up above his letters in his delivery. In a winless April 2006, he was swinging the leg but, once corrected, he finished 13-9.



Went 4-for-4 with 2 RBI's and 3 Runs in win at Pittsburgh, 4-30-83. His 2-run Homer produced Game-Winning RBI vs. Expos, 5-31-83. Belted Grand Slammer in Padres 4-1 verdict vs. Glants, July 3, 1983.



Gil has been in baseball for quite a while. He's a speed boy, and a good outfielder. With the Baltimore Orioles in 1954, he appeared in 94 games, and hit .279. He had 74 hits and he batted in 20 runs. Gil began in 1944, with Kingsport and after appearing in 74 games for them he went to Chattanooga, the Washington Senators' farm. In 1945, with them, he led the Southern Asso- ciation in batting with a .372 average. He also led the league in hits, doubles, triples and homers. Came to the Senators in 1947.
