If you have long arms, you may have a tendency to hit the bail on the handle of your bat. Move back a little in the box and select a bat with a fairly thick handle. Avold choosing a bat that is too heavy. Better one that is too light. It will be easier to control. The Orioles hope to add plenty of mound strength with the arrival of Ray this season. Last year they swapped 2 players and cash to get the classy hurler from St. Paul. Ray broke into Baseball with Greenville in '48 and in '50 showed his Big League promise by winning 15 games. In addition to starring on the mound for St. Paul last season, Ray proved to be a terrific hitter.
