Ballplayers call the smooth and graceful southpaw a "Picture Pitcher." Since his return from the Army, where he won a battlefield commission in the Engineers, Warren won 21 games in '47, 15 in 48, 21 in 49 and 21 in '50. In 1947 he had the League's best Earned Run Average of 2.33 and was tops in Strikeouts with 191 in '50 and 164 in '51. A Brave since 1942, he pitched 7 shutouts in 1951 and beat the Cards with 1 hit.



Jackson homered in four of his first seven games following his return to the big leagues on July 31, 2024. On August 16, he became the youngest Orioles player to have four hits and three runs in a game.



Brady was part of a Royals staff that was the first in history to have five pitchers make a start for the team that drafted them in one season. Brady's slider lost over four inches of vertical movement down in the strike zone compared with 2020. The Royals hope minor adjustments here and elsewhere can rekindle his rookie promise.
