First Negro player ever to be placed on Pittsburgh club's roster. Discovered by former Giant Infielder Andy Cohen while playing in Mexican League in 1950. Signed by Denver and converted into second baseman. Considered an outstanding defensive player and ready for majors if he can come close to his 1953 performance.
Roy David McMillan nicknamed "Mac" is a Texas-born Irishman and proud of it. When not playing ball he is an enthusiastic golfer and hunter. Much of his career has been in Texas where he led in several fielding departments, starting in 1947 in the Lone Star League. Was traded to Cincinnati in 1951 where he has contributed his speed and ability to the infield and led N.L. in 1952 in both games played and number of assists at shortstop.
