Jeromy entered 2005, his 1st year with the Cubs, having topped the 30-home run plateau 6 times in his productive career. The strong-armed outfielder shows no signs of slowing down after more than a dozen Major League seasons. A 1999 All-Star Game exhibitions participant, he has done some of his best hitting for power and in his most recent average seasons.
An off year for Paul in 1968 saw his average drop sharply. The outfielder did compile a 12 game hitting streak last season which was good for a .327 mark in late April and early May.
"Billy the Kid" made a circus catch of a fly ball to save the '52 World Series for the Yanks. A scrappy ball player, Billy has been with the World Champs since the middle of the '50 season but didn't get to play regularly till '52. In his first full year of pro ball in '47, he led the Arizona Texas League for Phoenix with 174 RBI's and a Batting Average of .392. He hit .286 and .280 for Oakland in in 1948 and 1949.
