Albert H. Bridwell, infielder of the St. Louis Federal League team, was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, January 4, 1884, and began playing ball when he was eighteen years old. He was tried out by Columbus, and then loaned to Cincinnati in 1903. He was recalled to Columbus and played with that team in 1904. He was sold to Cincinnati that fall. In 1905 he was traded to Boston, and in 1907 joined the New York Giants. From New York he went to Boston, and from there to the Chicago Cubs, and played with that team until early in 1914, when he joined the Federals.
