Name that player!

"Bob is a younger brother of Roy Johnson of the Red Sox, and like his brother plays in the out- field. He is a star in his own right. He was secured by the Athletics from the Portland Club of the Pacific Coast League in 1930, and after two more years on the Coast to get experience, went up to Philadelphia. He batted .290 in 142 games last season with Philadelphia. Bob is a right-hander, is 6 feet tall, and moves the weights at 175 pounds. He was born in Pryor, Okla., November 26, 1906."

Max, 23, established himself in 2016 as a core player for the Twins. His first home run was a walk-off on June 12; his fourth and fifth produced a team rookie-record seven RBI on July 2; and his 12th through 14th all came in the same game on August 1.

An "old-timer" still in there with the best of 'em. Came from the Dodgers early in 1946. No idler with the Bucs, he pitched 56 games last season, a Pirate record. Won 8, lost 7, struck out 86, his ERA 3.36. Did better two years ago when he won 11. Better yet in '41 for Dem Bums when he wrapped up 22 games. Lifetime shutout total 11.
