Willie was the National League's best fielding third baseman in 1954, with a percentage of .968. He made 15 errors in a total of 476 chances and he was in 23 double plays. He batted .271 and had 28 doubles, 3 triples and 12 homers among his 145 hits. He batted in 56 runs and scored 64. In 1951 and 1952 he led National League third basemen in double plays. He also tied a major league record when he hit four doubles in a game in 1949.
A 2018 World Series hero in Boston, Eovaldi continues to come through for the club. The right-hander's 2021 campaign included a league-best 32 starts, nearly 200 strikeouts and the best Fielding Independent Pitching mark in the league, not to mention the fewest walks per nine of all hurlers in the circuit.
