Jim's first experience in pro ball was in 1942 when he was with Columbus team of the AA and compiled an 11-12 record. The next three years were spent in service. He returned to Columbus for 1946 season and had a 4-5 record, appearing in 24 games. The next season he was with Cardinals and he had a nice 12-7 record. Last year he won 8 while losing 6.



In the '68 World Series, Norm batted .385 to lead the Tigers. He collected ten hits, including a HR & 5 RBIs.



1952 was Billy's rookie year in the American League. He was used mainly in relief by the Tigers after they brought him up from Buffalo of the International League in April of the '52 season. The lanky speedballer started with Richmond (Indiana) and compiled a 10-1 record for them... giving 34 walks, striking out 122 and chalking up a 1.71 ERA He hurled for Toledo in '51.
