A southpaw who was with Toronto in 1948 where he had a 13-8 record. In 172 innings he gave up 169 hits, 98 runs, struck out 97 and walked 92. Phillies brought him up for end of season and he appeared in 2 games. He won his big league debut beating Reds in night game on a day-night doubleheader and hurled a five-hit, 6-1 victory.
In addition to the 1909 T206 "The Big Four" (rare cards), the set has two other tough rarities - St. Louis versions of Bill O’Hara and Ray Demmitt.
