In 1960, Donn was selected as the MVP in the Sally League as he paced the circuit with 28 homers and rapped the ball at a .335 clip. Donn was drafted by Montreal and then traded to Houston last winter.



One of the promising stars of the National league. Won only two games and dropped 15 in 1948 but whiffed 64 batters with beautiful curve. Finished with .460 earned-run average. Charged with six hit-batsmen - tops in the league. Had terriffic pitching record in service. Recorded 85 wins - eight of them no-hitters.



Gilbert James McDougald nicknamed "Gil" led the American League in 1952 in double plays. Tied World's Series records by batting in four runs and homering with bases loaded, tieing Elmer Smith, Cleveland, 1920 and Tony Lazzeri, New York Yankees. Also tied for number of errors by third basemen in Series of 1952. Elected Rookie of the Year 1951.
