Harold W. At this place he learned to play first base, and was signed by Los Angeles as a first baseman for 1904. He was drafted by the New York American League Club at the close of that season and was at once a sensation. He remained with New York until 1912, when he was traded to Chicago. He jumped Chicago last spring for Buffalo, of the Federais, and after court proceedings was declared eligible to play for that team. Chase is a left-handed thrower and, strange to say, a right-handed batsman.
