MY ADVICE TO YOUNGSTERS by Rip Repulski. My advice is never give up. Things really get rough in baseball when you start out. They are still pretty rough at times. I have played every classification in baseball and know. My trouble was getting down when things were going bad - but not any more. You learn that as you go along. I'm not saying not to worry, because everyone worries at one time or another. Just don't let it show. Keep giving the game all you've got.

When the 1964 season started, Wes was on the Dodger roster only because of the first-year player rule. When Wes was given a chance to play, he displayed good power and tremendous speed. Normally, most first-year players are farmed out the following season. However, Wes showed that he was big league material and stayed with the parent club. His contributions to the Los Angeles Dodgers' pennant victory in 1965 were numerous.

Billy is one of the bright hopes of the Dodger staff. While he hasn't quite lived up to his early promise, he still had a good season in 1954. He was in 28 games for Brooklyn, and he had a record of 13-5. He pitched 148 innings and his earned run average was 4.14. He began in organized ball in 1949 with the Dodgers' Nashua farm team. He also pitched for Fort Worth that year, coming to Brooklyn in 1950.
