After 3 years in the Service, Ted pitched for Buffalo in '46 and '47 and joined the Tigers in '48. In 1949, he had a 10-10 mark and 10-7 in '50, when he struck out 102. His 131 Strikeouts in '51 was 4th best in the League.
MY BIGGEST THRILL IN BASEBALL by Wally Post. We were playing the Cubs in Cincinnati. The game was going into the last half of the ninth, and the Cubs were leading 6-4. We got two men on base and i was due to bat next. There were two out. I thought to myself, "If I could only come through now." The first pitch was a ball. The second pitch was to my liking and I hit a home run to win the game 7-6. To me that is still my biggest thrill in baseball.
