No. 9, The Shortstop's Throw. A shortstop must learn to throw from any angle while off balance and must master all types of infield throwing, ranging from the underhand flick of the wrist to the long, full arm sweep. And especially he must learn to get his throws away quickly. Urbanski and all other good shortstops develop a pecullar, automatic throw that works with lightning speed after the ball strikes their glove.
