MY BIGGEST THRILL IN BASEBALL by Lee Walls. My biggest thrill was getting a triple off Robin Roberts when I was only 17 years old. It was my first pinch hit in the big leagues. It would be hard to choose the most exciting game in which I've played, because I've been in 3 no hit games. One of them was a perfect one. The last day of the 1954 Pacific Coast League season remains in my mind. We were tied for the pennant with one game to play. That game was pitched by Roger Bowman and it was a perfect 7 inning no hit game.
Besides winning 16 games, Ron posted a microscopic E.R.A. of 1.67, which even topped teammate Sandy Koufax's 1.88.
