Name that player!

The Orioles hope that Hal will add plenty of hits to the lineup in '55. Judging by his Minor League record, there's every reason to believe he won't disappoint them. Hal batted .363 for Newark in '50 with 108 R.B.I.'s. At Quincy in '51 he hit .308 and batted .311 for Birmingham in '53. Last season he was the star of the Amer. Assoc. and he won the Batting Title.

Although pitchers rarely do much at the plate, "Chuck" tied a Major League record in 1950 when he walked 4 times in a row in 4 straight innings. An All-Southern halfback in high school as well as an All-State basketball player, he was signed by the Red Sox for $35,000 as a bonus player in 1947. Chuck didn't get much chance to pitch until '49 when he won 11. In '50 he won 12. November 1951 he went to the White Sox.

Charlie is the real strongman in the Yankees' second line of defense. In '49 he hit .315 in 58 contests and in 55 games batted .327 in '52. Starting with Wellsville in '42 Charlie spent 3 years in Service before joining Kansas City in '46. With Portland in '48 he hit .301, led his League in Fielding and came to the Yanks late that season.
