"Rocky" was bought from Montreal last season after winning the International League's Most Valuable Player Award. He was 2nd in Homers and tops in Runs Batted In. In the Little World Series, he hit .647. "Rocky" previously had Major League trials with the Cards, Pirates, White Sox and Dodgers. At Lynchburg in '47 he led the Piedmont League in Hitting with .371.



With just 2 seasons of Organized Baseball under his belt, Jim captured the 2nd Base spot in the Dodger infield. A switch hitter who plays the outfield as well as the infield, Junior was the All-Star 2nd Baseman and the Most Valuable Player in the International League in '52. With the Royals in '51, he hit .287, batted in 73 Runs and scored 117 times.



Many of the images used on cards in the 1909 T206 Set were also used in other baseball card sets.
