Sandy was a Brooklyn hero in the '55 Series with a game-saving catch in the 7th game. He also hit .333, scored 3 runs, hit a homer and drove in 3 men during the Series. Before joining Brooklyn, he led the Int. Lg. in batting with .353 in '53.
