Val Fonteyne
Born Wetaskiwin, Alta, Dec. 2, 1933. 5'9", 160. Shoots left. Val is one of smoothest skaters in NHL, used as penalty-killer with Wings until Rangers drafted him last June. Val's speed makes him dangerous on breakaways.

Name that player!

Born in Magog, Que., Nov. 6, 1934. 6, 205. Shoots left. Broke in with Canadiens, traded to Rangers in '61 for John Hanna. Picked up as a goalgetter after switch to New York. He's outstanding as skater for a big man.



Tony was named to the NHL's All-Rookie Team in '91-92 after leading all first-year players in goals (35), points (69) and power-play scores (9). The speedy winger spent the entire season on the Rangers' No. 1 line with Mark Messier and Adam Graves. Tony made his NHL debut for New York in the 1991 Stanley Cup Playoffs.



Born Jansen, Sask., Nov. 27, 1932. 5'10", 172. Shoots right. Kenny led AHL in goals before Rangers acquired him in 1959-60. He was used primarily to kill penalties last year. All of his pro minor experience was under Eddie Shore.
