Bruins Card of the Day
Bob Beers
Bob had an excellent season with Maine of the AHL last season winning rave reviews from Bruin's brass. His size and strength make him an outstanding NHL prospect. He saw a lot of action in the 1990 NHL playoffs until sidelined with a broken leg. He'll be back.

Noted for bullet shot he made a successful switch last year from wing to defense. Only 2 backliners outscored him. Doug made the jump to Boston direct from Barrie cup champs.
Doug shoots 'em high, wide and handsome. One of NHL's top skaters, his versatility as winger and defenseman may have handicapped his march along road to stardom. States no preference but would like to stick to one position. Two seasons ago he scored 20 goals playing left wing steadily.
