Bruins Card of the Day

Wayne Cashman
Big and blond, Wayne is a good man to have on your side when the going gets tough. Played junior hockey with Bobby Orr, and came up all the way in the Boston system. Had nine as Boston won Stanley Cup in 1969-70. Regular play suits him.

Name that player!

Scrappy right winger, Leo's a big favorite in Hub even if his scoring has fallen off in recent years. Collected 24 goals five years ago, but lost the touch last two seasons. Tough man to fight off in the corners.

McAvoy shoulders the offensive weight for Boston's blueline corps and helped the power play click in 2021-22. As the Bruins faced the Montreal Canadiens in a heated Original Six battle on Nov. 14, 2021, McAvoy scored a pair of goals, including a man-advantage marker 2:14 into the third period to kick off the Bruins' four-goal frame en route to a 5-2 home victory.

Rask was outstanding in backstopping Finland to bronze medals at the 2006 World Junior Championships in British Columbia. He had a 2.11 GAA and .940 save percentage and was named the netminder on the tournament all-star team.
