Johnny Bucyk
Johnny holds practically all of the Bruins' individual scoring records. He is starting his 19th year in the NHL, and the last four seasons have been his best. He passed the 400-goal mark last year, and will probably finish with more than 500. One of only eight men to score 50 or more goals in one season. Johnny is former winner of the Lady Byng Trophy.

Who is it?


Doug shoots 'em high, wide and handsome. One of NHL's top skaters, his versatility as winger and defenseman may have handicapped his march along road to stardom. States no preference but would like to stick to one position. Two seasons ago he scored 20 goals playing left wing steadily.

Who is it?


A year ago last summer Bruins shelled out $20,000 for this young defenseman in draft after first pro season at Winnipeg. Ted worked out with Bruins last fall, then was farmed out again to Winnipeg where he collected 127 penalty minutes in 57 games. He's rough, and willing, could make it to top this year.

Magnificent physique inspired nickname of "the beast." Johnny has had two 20-goals-plus years with Bruins after they got him from Detroit. The move reunited John with Edmonton line mates. Horvath and Stasiuk. Born Edmonton, Alta., May 12. '35, 6', 196.
