Welcome to the Black Hawks Exhibition Hall

Black Hawks Card of the Day

Ike Hildebrand
Born: Winnipeg, Man., May 27, 1927. 5'712", 155 lbs. Shoots right. A great competitor, Ike displays the same determination on the ice as he does on the lacrosse field where he is considered one of the game's foremost players. Not a fast skater, Ike makes up for it with his stickhandling ability and hard, accurate shot. Picture shows Ike in Ranger's uniform, the team he started with last season before joining the Hawks. His youth and aggressiveness will be a big factor in the Chicago club's attempt to climb out of the cellar.

Name that player!

The 97 points Mikita piled up in 1966-67 (35 goals, 62 assists) equaled teammate Bobby Hull's NHL single season record set the previous year. He retired with the third-highest career points total (1,467) in league history, behind only Gordie Howe and Phil Esposito.

Bobby rates as toughest man to step on solo rush in NHL. Golden Boy of Hawks looks like Mickey Mantle on ice. Won scoring title twice in last three years, and his 50 goals last mark shared by M. Richard and Bernie Geoffrion.

With Wings and Hawks, he played 422 consecutive games (iron man record is 508) before taking a break.

Pat Stapleton
"Whitey," as his teammates call him, has become one of the most popular Chicago players. He's like a quarterback with the puck and is extremely valuable on the power play, with a low, hard shot from the point. A very mobile desenseman.
