Three years with Yanks as a standout break-away runner, safety man, blocker and pass receiver. Led 1949 Yanks in rushing with 495 yards and in scoring with 48 points. Returned 20 kicks 487 yards, and caught 12 passes for 171 yards. All-American, U. of Illinois, 1944. Former NCAA and NAAU sprint champ. Holds world record, 45-yard dash.



Began pro career in 1949. An outstanding player in 1950, offensively and defensively. Has played end for Mississippi, North Carolina and the United States Military Academy. All-American, 1944, 1946, 1948. College letters: 8 in football, 8 in baseball, 7 in basketball. Set major college record by catching 52 passes. This record was tied by Art Weiner who also came to the Yanks.



This will be George's third year in pro football. In 1950, as a Yank halfback, he gained 411 yards and scored 9 touchdowns. A good punter, accurate passer, and one of the best all round backs in the League. An All-American at the University of Indiana in 1948. All-Big-Ten, 1945, 1947, 1948. Chicago All-Star game, 1949. Hobby: model planes. Plans to teach phys. ed. Army service: 16 months.

George Musacco
Expected to be the most outstanding rookie back in the Yanks' squad. Hails from Loyola University where he made a big reputation by leading the Pacific Coast in ground gained during the 1950 season. Captain, most valuable player, All-Coast, All-Catholic, All-American. George is an excellent punter and a great blocker. During off-season, he is preparing for something in retail line.
