Name that player!

Real life isn't like the movies, where a rookie gets the cold shoulder from veterans until he proves himself. Ravens cornerback Domonique Foxworth offered to mentor the Colorado kid. "Every young player needs to have somebody who can help him," he said. "I'm excited to be that sort of person for (Smith.)"

Some backs had bigger college numbers, but Jamal showed all the tools to be an NFL star. One of the nation's top frosh in 1997, his sophomore season was cut short by a knee injury. The Ravens, however, saw enough of Lewis in '99 to be convinced that he was fully healthy, using the No. 5 overall draft pick to make him the first back chosen. "Jamal is a rarity in that he combines sheer size, power and incredible speed," coach Brian Billick said.

Jermaine will go to great lengths to get the job done on the field - exceptionally great lengths. He has scored 10 touchdowns over the last two seasons, eight of them covering 35 yards or more. The average distance on those eight scores is 50.4 yards! Lewis became the Baltimore Ravens' all-time leader in touchdowns when he passed Michael Jackson and Derrick Alexander with a pair of scores in a 41-14 victory against the Titans on December 5.

Back to the Front! Ravens card back du jour...

Mark Andrews
Coming off his breakout All-Pro season, Andrews put together another monster year in 2021. Equally adept at his blocking and ball-catching duties, he did plenty of the latter in 2022. Over the course of 15 games, he was good for 847 yards on 73 catches en route to his third straight Pro Bowl berth.
