Redskins Card of the Day

Jim Podoley
Newcomer Jim didn't stop for introductions on his way through the line last season. He just kept barrelling his way for first downs and headlines. It was Jim's running and pass-catching which helped to make the 'Skins a lot stronger.

Name that player!

Art Monk wasn't big on letters, with just seven of them in his name. When it came to numbers, however, he was an integer collector. The receiver produced massive stats throughout his Hall of Fame career. Peaking in 1984, he turned a league-high 106 catches into 1,372 yards.

The NFC's third leading passer in 1971, Bill took over for injured Sonny Jurgensen and led the Redskins to a playoff berth. Bill was named Offensive Player of Week in 1969.

A healthy Jackson was ready to go in 2013, and it showed. The Philadelphia wideout earned his third career Pro Bowl nod after racking up a career-best 1,332 receiving yards, which was good for third in the NFC. He also helped turn the Eagles back into a postseason team in the process.

Volney Peters
A former fighting Marine, Pete is a tower of power in the Redskin defense. Big and bullish, he can scramble enemy interference, stop runners cold in their tracks and pounce on passers with his powerful charging. Originally with the Chicago Cards in '52 and '53, Pete came to the Skins in '54, and has been a starting lineman ever since.
