Cardinals Card of the Day

Carl Brettschnieder
It's a terrifying sight to watch Carl put his bear hug on enemy runners and slam them to the turf. He's one of the cleverest linebackers and an expert at diagnosing the opposition's plays.

Name that player!

The Army took Bob after 4 games with the Cards in '61. He shifted from guard to center during '62 training sessions and won the No. 1 job at that position.

Bobby has done just about everything for the Cards. He was their kicker for his first three years and has played at HB, DB and now a flanker. He owns the Cards' season receiving record with 73. He caught 34 for 388 yards.

In addition to being the best blocking back on the Cardinals, Willis was the top rushing back for St. Louis last season as he chewed-up 813 yards for a lofty 4.0 average. Willis is also effective on screen passes.

Leo Sugar
As a star in college Leo played fullback and offensive end. But in the pro ranks he functions as a fine defensive wingman. His tackling is sharp and he can diagnose a play with uncanny ability.
