Steelers Card of the Day

Roman Wilson
Wilson displayed his clutch gene late in the fourth quarter of the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1, 2024. First, the WR hauled in a 29-yard pass to move the ball inside Alabama's 10-yard line. Then he capped off the drive with a 4-yard TD snag, forcing overtime and helping the Wolverines secure the eventual 27-20 win.

Name that player!

A genuine "big play" threat each time he touches the ball, Walter brings speed and explosiveness to the Steelers' offense. He has instinctive, versatile talent to run inside and 4.5 speed in the 40-yard dash to turn the corner for long gainers.

The Redskins let Buzz go in his rookie year. Picked as a Free Agent by Baltimore, he was a linebacker before trying center. He joined the Steelers in '60.

"Mighty Mo" played fullback for Maryland. In every game he outgained all his opposition combined in total yardage. Everybody's All-American. Outstanding player in Sugar Bowl. Student in off-season. Goes pro in 1952.

Plaxico Burress
November 10, 2002: Weekly Wrap Up: Teaming brilliantly with quarterback Tommy Maddox, Burress caught nine passes for a Steelers-record 253 yards in Pittsburgh's dramatic 34-34 tie with Atlanta on November 10. He snared TD passes of 62 and 33 yards, and came just short of a third score on the final play of overtime when his sprawling 50-yard catch ended up one yard shy of paydirt.
