Norman, who was NFL passing champion in 1950, was nosed out for that honor in 1951 by his teammate, Bob Waterfield, in a very close race. Entered pro football in 1949 from Oregon where he starred in passing and punting.

They say Los Angeles is a baseball and basketball town, especially after the city celebrated titles in those sports in 2020. One can also say L.A is a defensive metropolis. Donald has made the locals appreciate the desire it takes to dominate as arguably the fiercest MFL player on that side of the ball.



Most grid critics agree that the "Flying Dutchman" is the greatest long passer in football history. Won NFL passing title in 1950 and 1952 and placed 2nd in 1951 and 1953. All-America quarterback at University of Oregon before joining Rams in 1949. Norm's wife, Gloria, was his biology teacher at Oregon. They have three young daughters.



Led the National Football League in pass receiving in 1948 and 1949. Broke Don Hutson's completion record with 77 for 1,013 yards and 9 touchdowns. Played end for University of Santa Clara and UCLA. Rose Bowl, 1946. East-West and College All-Star games, 1947. All-America, 1947. Served 3 years as 1st lieutenant, Army Air Forces.

Was first Negro to be signed by NFL...has served in the Los Angeles police department specializing in juvenile work... married and the father of a 5-year-old son.
