Name that player!

A star on Frank Leahy's great Boston College elevens...made All-American honors in 1941 and 1942. During one season he blocked and recovered three punts for touchdowns...a vicious blocker and tackler. Served as a lieutenant in the Army Air Forces. Joined the Rams in 1945 and was one of two Rams who started all of their 1946 games. Hopes to become a coach when playing days are over.



Most grid critics agree that the "Flying Dutchman" is the greatest long passer in football history. Won NFL passing title in 1950 and 1952 and placed 2nd in 1951 and 1953. All-America quarterback at University of Oregon before joining Rams in 1949. Norm's wife, Gloria, was his biology teacher at Oregon. They have three young daughters.



It may be hard to believe about someone weighing 330 pounds, but Jimmy is more than 100 pounds lighter now than when he enrolled at Penn State, Working with a nutritionist, "Grizzly Bear" embarked on an extensive conditioning program that led to his being drafted with the 12th overall pick in 2002. He went on to earn his degree in rehabilitation services in four years.

Flipper Anderson
"They call him Flipper, Flipper, faster than lightning," went the theme for a dolphin-centric 1960s TV show. The Rams' Flipper was just as quick, swam with the NFL's big sharks and played with a pass-catching porpoise, er, purpose. The splashy wideout flipped the speed switch and twice led the league in yards per catch.
