Bernard is a creative and slippery runner in the open field, displaying the quick footwork and moves of a Jamaal Charles. Outstanding vision allows him to find seemingly invisible creases in the defense, and his top-flight acceleration consistently fools defenders into taking bad angles of pursuit.
Jermaine first starred at Ardmore (Okla.) High in basketball, but when football coach Mike Loyd pointed out that his skill set would be more unique in the NFL, he turned his focus to the gridiron.
