Cowboys Card of the Day

Emmitt Smith
Smith is never hard to find on the field. Just look in the end zone; he'll eventually be there with the ball. Considered perhaps the greatest clutch runner of his generation, Smith made it official in 1998. Playing against Washington in the season finale, he went into the end zone from one yard out for his 124th rushing TD, breaking Marcus Allen's record. He later added another for an even 125.

Considered to be one of the meanest men in pro football, he goes after everyone in an enemy jersey. He carries the nickname "Too Mean," which comes from the only way he knows how to play the game, giving 100% effort at all times. His forte is overpowering opponents with his great quickness and technique, with one of his most potent weapons being the headslap. Is annually among Cowboys' club leaders in quarterback sacks, and has yet to reach his peak as All-Pro.
