Very adept at getting ball to secondary receivers... Has enough speed and strength to pick up yardage on run...In only two years as Bruin, moved up to second on school's all-time passing lists for completions (406), yards (5,298), and touchdowns (41)... His college passing-efficiency rating of 149.7 is third best in NCAA history... Earned first-team All-America honors from The Sporting News, Football News, and UPI as senior last year. ..Set UCLA school record with 23 touchdown passes.. Transferred from run-oriented Oklahoma program in 1986.

George was drafted 6th in '62 although he missed his senior year. He played at tight end as a rookie, making the All-Rookie team. He was shifted to defense the next year and has become a mainstay in the strong Dallas rush defense.
