Name that player!

The great expectations for him in pro football have come true in his first 2 seasons with the Cowboys. As a rookie in 1975 he played on and behind the club's defensive line and was second only to Harvey Martin in quarterback traps with 7, recovered 2 enemy fumbles and made numerous big plays in key game situations. He's Cowboys' heir to Lee Roy Jordan's middle linebacker position. He's fundamentally sound with great quickness, balance, toughness, ability, desire and smartness on football field.

Bob topped off another out standing season in 1969 by being selected to The Sporting News NFL-East All-Star team and the Hall of Fame All-Pro All-Star team. In high school Bob made All-State teams as a football end and in basketball. An All-American tackle at TCU where he was a two-time All-Southwestern Conference choice, Bob played both ways with defense his specialty. He appeared in the College All-Star game. The first round draft choice of Dallas in 1961, Bob started his career as an end and moved to tackle after first season.

Dallas won the Eastern Title, but lost the NFL Crown 34 to 27. They racked up the most points, 445, with 29 TDs rushing, 56 TDs in all, 56 XPS and 1 safety. They also kicked 17 FGs in 31 tries. They gained 3331 yards passing, too.
