Name that player!

Member of Colts since 1948. Was named AAFC Rookie of the Year. In one streak, threw 115 passes with 68 completions and no interceptions. Had only 9 interceptions during the season, and only 1 in final 7 games. As quarterback for Louisiana State University was LSU leader in most minutes played, 1945, 46 '47. In Blue-Gray games, 1944, '45.



Led by passing great Johnny Unitas, the Colts will be out to improve their .500 record of 1962, this season. Baltimore led the N.F.L. with 237 complete passes last year.



They don't come any bigger, nor much better than Gene. His tremendous power has ruined many a Sunday for runners and passers. With Gene rushing in, all you have time for is a fast prayer.
