Jim spent time in 1984 sidelined by injury but hopes to be back in top form this season. He recorded three 200-yard passing games in 1983. Threw NFC's longest pass of the year, an 87-yarder íor a touchdown to Willie Gault. Jim was selected as UPI'S NFC Rookie of the Year in 1982. He was an All-American at BYU.
As a pro rookie, Fred copped the punting championship of the National Football League. Completed the season with an average of 43.3 yards per punt on 57 kicks, edging out Horace Gillom who kicked 66 times for a 43.2 average. Led the Big 10 scorers and punters in senior year at Ohio State. Starred in Ohio State's Rose Bowl triumph over California. Member of College All-Stars.
When Bobby came to the Bears in '55 he had a reputation as a speedy breakaway back. He has not disappointed anyone. He can flash 'round an end or bang away at the line to roll up yardage.
