Name that player!

One of the big reasons why The Chargers are champs is Lance Alworth. Last year the flanker was second in the AFL with 69 grabs. He led the circuit with an average run of 23.2 yards per catch. Won 16 letters as a school athlete!

You know you're awesome when the franchise records you break already belonged to you in the first place. Allen truly outdid himself (emphasis on "himself") in 2021 by setting a Chargers single-season mark with 106 receptions. The wide receiver held the previous team standard with 104 in 2019.

Tobin is a familiar name to pro football fans. Last year the popular veteran played in his first American Football League campaign and became the circuit's top quarterback. Completing 59% of his passes, he won the Most Valuable Player of the Year honors for 1963. Tobin is also a good runner and scored two touchdowns rushing. Tobin's brother was a top football star, too.

Back to the Front! Chargers card back du jour...

Natrone Means
Means has been a running backs coach and offensive coordinator on the collegiate level since retiring from the NFL, and those who play for him would be wise to listen to his words. The straight-ahead rusher had his best season with San Diego in 1994, when he ran for 1,350 yards and made the Pro Bowl.
