Before joining the San Diego Charg- ers last year, Tom played with the Buffalo Bills. There, the big ball-player served as a defensive end and an offensive guard.

Who is it?


The leading rusher with 734 yards and leading scorer with 66 points on last years great Mississippi team, Charlie was selected for the All-Southeastern Conference and All-America. In addition, he was selected for the All-Decade All-Southeastern Conference team. Charlie's weight, power and speed will be a deciding factor this year in the Los Angeles offense.

Powerful back with good speed and receiving skills... Rushed for 3,074 yards in three seasons to finish fifth on North Carolina's all-time list... Ranks second in school history with 34 rushing touchdowns...Also had 61 career receptions for 500 yards... Ran for 1,195 yards (5.1-yard average) and 13 touchdowns in 1992... Added 128 yards and touchdown in Peach Bowl victory over Mississippi State... Rushed for 1,030 yards and 11 scores in 1991.

No doubt about it... Lance is one of the most exciting players to watch in action in the AFL. A regular in All-Star games, the flanker back was named the league's Most Valuable Player in 1963 by U.P.I. Last year, Lance finished 5th in the circuit in pass receiving. His 13 touchdowns were tops in the A.F.L.
