Used as the 6th man on the Washington Capitols in 1969-70, Mike earned All-Rookie team honors. He came into his own during the playoffs, averaging 26 points per game, scoring a high of 34 and shooting 53% from the floor. Known as the "Bird Man" for his flying dunk shots that practically carry him through the hoop, he was a member of the 1968 United States Olympic team.

Jim's favorite shot is his turn-around jumper in the key, and he'll go either way to the basket. His role with Squires is to concentrate on defense and leave scoring to others. Had fine games vs. Mel Daniels and Zelmo Beaty.

Had 619 assists for Floridians in 1970-71. Set mark with 11 assists in 1974 ABA All-Star Game.

Mike Barr
From the start, Squires' Coach Al Bianchi has been impressed with Mike. "A lot of what Mike does is not reflected in the box score. Even some of our veterans have told me, This guy can play.' He has produced much more than we had hoped for." One of the ABA's finest rookies of 1972-73, Mike signed his Squires con tract the day he received it in the mail.
