Pacers Card of the Day

Darnell Hillman
Darnell provided great bench strength and rebounding power in helping Pacers to ABA title last season. A great leaper with the ability to touch the top of the backboard, he cleared the 7-foot mark in the high jump as a freshman at San Jose State. A very intelligent player who rarely makes a mistake.

Name that player!

During his career at Wichita State, Warren set seven school records, was named to the All-Missouri Valley Con ference team three years and was named the team's MVP two years. The 1968 ABA Rookie of the Year, Warren can play either forward or guard with equal ability. His versatility gives the Pacers much more flexibility over the long season.

Although he is sometimes an overlooked element in the Pacers' formula, Jackson changes the flow of a game each time he checks in. His speed gets him to the line where he uses his unique freethrow style to cash in.

Freddie is a two-time ABA All-Star, making the squad in 1968 and 1972. He is an extremely consistent player who plays both ends of the floor. The quarterback of the Pacer attack, he had an outstanding playoff in 1972, keying several wins against both the Rockets and the Stars.
