Bucks Card of the Day

Shawn Respert
Though he saw limited playing time, Shawn demonstrated steady improvement as his rookie season progressed. A highlight came on March 5th against the potent Bulls when he tallied 14 points, six assists, four rebounds and four steals. The Bucks expect Respert, the 1994-95 Sporting News NCAA Player of the Year, to soon approach the form that saw him leave Michigan State as its all-time scoring leader.

Name that player!

Jon's great shooting should help rapidly improving Bucks out of cellar. Placed 3rd in free throws and 9th in field goals; barely missed top 20 with 19.6 average. Gets job of defending high-scoring guards.

Allen, who made his professional acting debut in Spike Lee's "He Got Game," placed in the NBA's top 10 in free throw percentage (.875), minutes per game (40.1) and three-pointers (134).

Following a career in which he scored more points (1,545) in Big Ten games than any player in conference history, starpshooting Shawn was named The Sporting News Player of the Year for 1994-95.
