Lew had a superb rookie campaign last season as he made the NBA All-Rookie team, the NBA Second All-Star team and was voted as the NBA Rookie of the Year. He led UCLA to an unprecedented three straight national championships and three times he was voted the outstanding player in the NCAA championship tournament. He first gained prominence leading Power Memorial High School in New York to a 95-6 record in four years, including a 71-game win streak.
The Bucks boast one of the league's best bench producers in Portis, who combines an efficient shot with tenacious rebounding. He flashed both traits on Jan. 11, 2024, hitting 5-of-6 triples en route to 28 points and 12 rebounds in 22 minutes to send Milwaukee to a 135-102 win over Boston.
Jackson headed to Milwaukee after a draft-day trade, and the club couldn't be happier with the way things turned out. "We think that there's an unbelievable development opportunity with him," GM Jon Horst said. "There's also a baseline level of skill and toughness... that could translate right out of the gate. We'll see."
