Pistons Card of the Day

Chuck Noble
Chuck combines a great one hand set shot with a fierce determination to win and creates havoc with opponents. In '56-'57, he was sidelined by an injury but this year, Chuck's in shape and rarin' to go. Recently, he developed an outside jump shot that worries enemy defenders plenty.

Name that player!

There was no better overtime player than Chauncey last season. On December 18, he scored eight straight points in OT. Three weeks later, he bagged an OT four-point play. And on January 10, he hit a pair of the threes in the final two minutes of OT. All three performances keyed Detroit wins.

Jumpin' George is the scoring king of the Piston squad. Last season, he used his fantastic jump shots to place 5th in N.B.A. averages. In a game against Minneapolis, he poured in 40 points and in one quarter scored 23 in a contest with Rochester! In college, George was an All American.

The fastest big, big man in the N.B.A., Walt figures to be a key man in the Pistons' championship drive. Before coming to Detroit he spent a season at Minneapolis and earned his pro varsity letter. As a collegian, Big Walt led his team to 27 straight wins and the N.I.T. title in 1953.
