Name that player!

A versatile performer for the Pistons, Phil was credited with 150 Assists, 80 Steals and 20 Blocked Shots in 1980-81. He was the first University of Michigan player ever to reach 1000 Points by the conclusion of his sophomore season.

There was no better overtime player than Chauncey last season. On December 18, he scored eight straight points in OT. Three weeks later, he bagged an OT four-point play. And on January 10, he hit a pair of the threes in the final two minutes of OT. All three performances keyed Detroit wins.

Back to the Front! Pistons card back du jour...

Isiah Thomas
"QUICKNESS" How acquired: Drafted in the first round in 1981 (second selection). Isiah Thomas may be more known for his infectious smile or off-court demeanor. But don't ever forget that he is still one of the quickest point guards in the NBA. In 1991-92, Thomas remained as consistent as ever. "Zeke" placed second on the Pistons in scoring (18.5 ppg.) and topped Detroit in assists and steals just a year after the most serious injury of his career. In 1990-91, Thomas missed 34 games because of a wrist injury. Thomas became the Pistons all-time leading scorer in 1991-92, surpassing Bob Lanier. He was already the Pistons leader in assists and steals. Two years earlier, Thomas was the MVP of the 1990 Finals in which Detroit won its second straight NBA title. In 1984-85, Thomas set a single-season record for assists in a season with 1,123 (since broken by John Stockton). Despite being an 11-year veteran, Thomas' game has not slowed a bit. In 1991-92, he was named to the NBA All-Star Team for the 11th straight season.
