Acquired from the Trail Blazers just prior to the 1974-75 season opener, Mickey surprised the basketball media by making the squad. Possessed with outstanding leaping ability, he enjoyed a sensational debut as a starter in the NBA by scoring 12 points in one quarter against Elvin Hayes and the Washington Bullets. He's extremely quick.
Back to the basket, Vucevic can't see the rim, but that doesn't mean he can't score. The All-Star center can get buckets with a quick spin shot or a polished fadeaway. In 2020-21, he recorded 314 points out of post-up looks, third most in the league behind Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic.
A member of the NBA's All-Rookie Team for the 1976-77 season, Scott established a rookie scoring record for the Bulls despite missing the first 10 games of the campaign. He joined the Bulls after leading Indiana to the 1976 NCAA Championship and starring for U.S. Gold Medal winners in the Olympics in Montreal.
