A second-round choice of the 2004 WNBA Draft, Kaayla Chones was the 13th all-time leading scorer in N.C. State history with 1,538 points. Chones' father Jim was the No. 1 overall pick in the 1972 ABA Draft and went on to play in the NBA.

It's appropriate that Bowie went to Ball State. because she was one of the nation's premier basketballers in her career. The Mid-America Conference Player of the Year in 2001 and 2003 was the third player (male or female) to surpass 2000 career points.



Hines-Allen starred in a reserve role during her first two seasons with the Mystics before pushing into the starting lineup in 2021 and authoring a breakthrough campaign. The well-rounded forward posted career highs in points (17.0), rebounds (8.9) and field-goal percentage (.510).
