Tied a single-season career high by snatching 244 total rebounds during the 2004 season. • A four-time WNBA All-Star choice, including three straight (1999, 2000, 2001 and 2004). Selected as the NAIA National Player of the Year in 1993 during her final college season. Besides English, Taj speaks German and Hebrew.
During her final season at Cal (2018-19), Anigwe was named the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year. She also spearheaded the Golden Bears in points (22.5) and led the nation in rebounding (16.2). With Connecticut, her two-way skills will be appreciated on a Sun team in need of help on the front line.
A star at the University of Connecticut, Tuck didn't need to move too far after moving to the WNBA, joining the Sun as the No. 3 overall selection in the 2016 draft. Whether as a starter or reserve, the forward is an important member of a squad consistently in contention in the Eastern Conference.
