Name that player!

Sims gave her team a long-range boost before halftime on Sept. 6, 2020. With just 2.4 ticks left in the second quarter, the guard got the ball and sprinted past several Seattle defenders. After letting loose a halfcourt heave from the logo, she watched it bounce off the backboard into the net as time expired.

When Michael Cooper watched Sykes, he saw a little bit of himself. "It's a match made in heaven," the Dream coach said. She really was a perfect fit. In 2017, the guard led all first-year players in points and rebounds and was one of three unanimous selections to the All-Rookie team.

Looking for the WNBA's next breakout star? Look no further than Billings, who erupted when given consistent chances in 2021. Lifting off after her first start of the season (Aug. 24), the Dream forward averaged 15.0 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks over her next five (Aug. 26 to Sept. 10).

Back to the Front! Dream card back du jour...

Monique Billings
On offense, Billings provides more than points, rebounds and assists, "She sets - hear my words - Mo is like top five best screen-setters when it comes to backside flares and hitting the nail, Mo is top five," teammate Brittney Sykes said. It's a skill that makes going against the forward a true pain for opponents.
